Adelle

A muse of exhaustion

When defenses become frayed and the dream world closes in on one side, Adelle weaves enigmatic coverlets spun of desire, waning intellect and waxing intuition. Adelle is the mother of colors for which there are no names and other as yet unimagined instances. Desire, even passion are her summoners, as without them sleep overtakes the artist before thoughts and ideas can be penned.

Ahsbanat Kleckloe

An enigmatic and difficult-to-classify muse

A bubbling-up-laughter-under-your-chest sort of muse.

Ahsbanat Kleckloe Speaks:

"In your world, I am very small, but in my world, I am branching filaments that stretch and reach for magnificent miles. I am the bearer of good news on license plates and neglected shrubs."

Dazzle

A muse of sensuality

Is an indigo stream that runs through the center of all experience like an artery.

Conjuring the muse allows him to permeate any thought, feeling, or sense the way capillaries permeate a fingertip. And so, like oxygen into tissue, conscious meaning, complexity and open association pass into the experience.

The poet of merit conjures Dazzle in the unlikely places as well as in the popular or fashionable... at the bank as well as in the cafe; under a cloudless and contented sky as well as under a red moon.

Dwo-Neteyam

A muse of procrastination

The difficult task looms over our shoulders, and so we are filled with the wild spirit of Dwo-Neteyam. Brilliant ideas, too important and fabulous to set aside, justify the not doing of some other thing. Dwo-Neteyam is the consort of Melicifia, muse of distraction, and evil twin brother of Ahsbanat Kleckloe, the enigmatic and unclassifiable muse.

The Geological Muses

Muses of a place

Every place, every terrain, possesses its unique muse or muses. While it is the perception and response by the artist to being in that place which fulfills and names a muse, its unique elements in concert (i.e. minerals, tectonic activity, and their relationship) possess a kind of memory and promise.

Las Vegas

A city muse

Ecstacy / desolation, irony / hope, jadedness / innocence: The push and pull of these extremes conjures a volatile, occasionally even dangerous (although any muse can be dangerous), but liberating muse. Las Vegas touches the artist so intimately, those who have met and engaged her share a comraderie like no other.

Melicifia

A muse of distraction

When the task before us demands an inner transformation, it is sometimes most productive to become distracted. She demands our attention with great force, whether with some distress or emergency, or with a thing of consuming beauty. The path back to the first task is winding and arduous, but upon our return we often find the inner transformation we needed has taken place. Knowing this, let the artist be patient with the process.

Melicifia is the consort of Dwo-Neteyam, muse of procrastination.
